Anyone else see this?|
Comments? FWIW, (sing along to I'm a Little Teapot) I'm a little apple, short and stout. Please don't flay me or turn me out.
I didn't see that, and wish that I hadn't. I guess us apples need to work on being more banana-like...
Oh, so our poor little fat cells cause strokes! But, no, it couldnt be the higher blood sugars? Or the additional stress? Nope, has to be the fat.
Being old-ish, I now have type 2 diabetes as a direct result of being overweight and overstressed.
I cured the stress. I quit my corporate job and started my own business. No migraines, but my blood sugar is still out of whack despite walking dogs 3-5 hours/day. Haven't cured the overweight part - but I do love yummy food here in the land of subs and cheesesteaks.

Hoagies, dear. You've lived there long enough to call them by their proper name... ;-p
East coast! NOW!!!
Claymont What Shop? Wawa sells what?
You need to come home for a refresher of east coastness.

Re: Not subs!
I wish I could come out for a refresher course! As it is, I'm still trying to spend less than $400 for us to go to Marvie Moviethon...
Since you asked, it actually "Claymont Steak Shop."
Wawa is regional across a wider range; it doesn't count. Except as the foremost purveyor of fine TastyKake Products.
right, because fat is the only thing that's changed in the past decade. not access to personal health care, not changes in food science, not stress levels and information overload...just fat. ZOMGZ OBESITY EPIDEMIC!!!
and cheesesteaks are fucking disgusting. gross.
Oh, my. You haven't had a GOOD cheesesteak (which is not that surprising - there are loads of nasty ones out there).
Earlier-referred-to Claymont Steak Shop rules the cheesesteak world...or at least, it used to. I haven't had one there since the change of ownership...and I know the meatball hoagie wasn't as good as it used to be. *sigh* Everything starts changing when you get old... ;-D
dude, no. amaroso's rolls taste like spongy balsa wood, flank steak is tough and dry, and don't EVEN get me started on the frantic horror that is cheez whiz. i'll stick to pizza fries, thanks.
but then again, i'm not from around here....
PS: nice icon!
...and don't EVEN get me started on the frantic horror that is cheez whiz.
A friend grew up with one of the children of the Amaroso family... he said that given his acquaintance with this guy, Amaroso's secret formula had to involved mary jane...
PS: Ooo! Your icon is good! I didn't notice the Bart Skull & Crossbones t-shirt option when I did mine...
